Columbus Community Hospital’s First Steps education program allows CCH staff to get to know you as a new parent before the birth of your child.
The program also gives you the knowledge you need to feel confident about welcoming your baby home.
Our services
When you participate in the First Steps education program, CCH staff will contact you at various milestones throughout your pregnancy by sending you information in the mail.
When you reach 36 weeks' gestation, CCH staff will invite you to the hospital to talk about your birth expectations; provide education regarding labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn care; and help you sign the necessary paperwork for your stay.
The goal of this program is to make your birthing experience as enjoyable and relaxing as possible without the added anxiety of the unknown.
