Biography
Morgan received her master’s degree in speech language pathology in May 2011 from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. She has provided speech-language therapy services in a variety of settings, including acute care, outpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities and schools. She joined Rehab Services at the Wellness Center in 2015.
Morgan has worked with an array of patients who have communication disorders in the areas of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), aphasia, apraxia, cleft palate, cognition, dysarthria, dysphasia, traumatic brain injury (TBI), voice disorders, and expressive and receptive language disorders.
She is nationally certified through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association, and she is a member of the Nebraska Speech-Language Association. She has specialized certifications in Interactive Metronome, Thrive Cancer Rehabilitation Care and Speak Out!®.
Morgan also serves Rehab Services at the Wellness Center as co-facilitator of the Speak Out!® voice exercise group for people with Parkinson’s. She is currently serving our patients on a part-time basis.
She and her husband, Kurt, grew up in the Columbus area. They returned to grow their careers in health care and raise their children closer to family.
