Biography
Jay received his Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2003 from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. He began practicing at Columbus Community Hospital in 2004, and later completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2005. Jay specializes in various orthopedic conditions, such as total joint replacements, shoulder/elbow, knee and ankle/foot conditions.
Jay received advanced training in the McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy method for treating back and neck pain. He received his credentialing from The McKenzie Institute in Syracuse, New York, in 2011, and is certified in this treatment method for spinal and extremity disorders. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association since 2005. Jay is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and the Nebraska Physical Therapy Association. Jay is a David City, Nebraska, native and completed his college undergraduate work at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln, Nebraska, where he played football.
In his free time, Jay enjoys coaching various sports at the high school and elementary school levels. Jay and his wife, Tina, have five children and live in Columbus.
