Biography

Emily received her Bachelor of Science degree in human biology as a Rural Health Opportunity Program participant at Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, in May 2021. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in May 2024, and joined the Rehab Services at the Wellness Center team in October 2024.

During her clinical training, she gained experience working in a variety of settings, including a critical access hospital, outpatient orthopedic clinics and a high school, working with athletes from ages 7 to 77. Emily enjoys working with people of all ages helping to improve a variety of conditions. She has a special interest in rehabilitation of knees, ankles and feet, as well as in general wellness and strength of the body. She also has an interest in athletics and women’s health. Emily believes that physical therapy is more than just treating ailments — it is about improving everyone’s quality of life through movement and rehabilitation.

Emily lives in Columbus with her husband, Soren. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, cooking, hiking, traveling, exercising and watching sports.
