Biography
Dr. Mawn joined the team at Columbus Otolaryngology Clinic in 2025.
Mawn received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. After earning his medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, he completed a surgical internship at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia. Then, he received his certification in hyperbaric technology, diving, submarine and radiation health from the Naval Undersea Medical Institute in Groton, Connecticut. He also completed an otolaryngology residency at Bethesda Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
He has held several leadership titles, including department head of otolaryngology.
Mawn is a member of the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American College of Surgeons.
