Brooke Hughes, ATC
Biography
Brooke has been a certified athletic trainer for Columbus Community Hospital since 2014. Her athletic training services take her to Columbus High School and Columbus Middle School.
She is a 2008 graduate of Columbus Lakeview High School and continued her education at the University of Nebraska Omaha. She graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and an athletic training concentration.
Brooke has served as a member and chair for several committees within the Nebraska State Athletic Trainers Association (NSATA). She currently serves as the Mid-American Athletic Trainers Association (MAATA) Connection and Engagement chair and as an advisory member to the MAATA Board of Directors. She is the MAATA representative for the National Athletic Trainers Association Connection and Engagement Committee, and she was the 2021 George F. Sullivan NSATA Athletic Trainer of the Year Award winner.
Brooke and her husband, Chance, live in Columbus with their three children, Barrett, Torryn and Fallon. She enjoys spending time with her family and being active outdoors in her free time.
