(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – Columbus Community Hospital invites families to join in the holiday fun at its
Letters to Santa event on Thursday, Dec. 4, from 4-6 p.m. We encourage families to bring letters and take
pictures with the Big Red Guy during this festive visit.
Children who bring a letter for Santa should include their first and last name and a return address so
Santa’s workshop can send a personal response.
“Seeing the joy on children’s faces when they meet Santa is one of the best parts of the holiday season,”
said Angie Ramaekers, director of the hospital’s volunteer and guest services department. “We’re thrilled
to help make that connection between kids and Santa each year.”
For families unable to attend the Dec. 4 event, they can still drop off letters to Santa at The Gift Shop
inside the hospital between Dec. 4-18 during the following hours:
- Monday-Wednesday: 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Thursday: 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Friday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Saturday: 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The hospital will send all letters collected during this time to Santa’s workshop, so every child who writes
receives a response.
Columbus Community Hospital encourages families to take part in this heartwarming tradition and help
spread holiday cheer throughout the community.
