(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – At Columbus Community Hospital, community isn't just a word — it's our middle
name. We celebrate the compassionate care and support that helps our community thrive.
CCH is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital, and our leaders, doctors, nurses and staff nurture a
sense of community in every decision and interaction, every day.
One local doctor who is striving to deliver the best for our community is orthopedic surgeon Dr. Michael
Pitner, who works for Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic. He treats a variety of
musculoskeletal conditions, from sprains and strains to fractures and arthritis. His additional expertise in
sports medicine allows him to treat many athletic injuries, including anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)
tears and rotator cuff shoulder injuries. Pitner cares for athletes at all levels — from weekend warriors
to high school and professional athletes.
For Pitner, it’s important to build trust early on with patients by paying close attention to their concerns.
“Listening to every single patient and hearing what brought them into my office helps me understand
how I can help them,” Pitner said. “Whether that’s with conservative, non-surgical treatment or with
surgery, we’re tailoring a plan to each patient’s goals.”
Pitner’s mission is to provide community members with exceptional experiences and comprehensive
orthopedic care.
Our caregivers embrace the shared values and enhance the lives of those they are proud to call friends
and neighbors — right here, in the heart of our community.
