(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – At Columbus Community Hospital, our doctors are an incredibly important part of
our community — which is why “community” is our middle name.

One local doctor who consistently delivers the best for our area is radiologist Dr. Matthew Pieper with
North Central Radiology. Pieper and his team interpret imaging tests, allowing providers to view what’s
happening inside a patient’s body. Some of the tests his team reads include: radiography (X-ray),
computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), positron emission tomography (PET),
mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, bone density (DEXA) and nuclear medicine exams, among
other medical imaging.

For Pieper, it’s important to be part of a team that collaborates with virtually every medical specialty,
and to take part in solving diagnostic dilemmas to help maintain a healthy community.

“I enjoy helping clinicians identify and treat complex diagnoses,” he said.

Pieper says he loves the simplicity the Columbus community offers — it allows him to develop close ties
with all community members.

“In a smaller community like Columbus, I can get to know patients personally,” Pieper said.

Columbus Community Hospital’s caregivers embrace the shared values and enhance the lives of those
who they are proud to call friends and neighbors — right here, in the heart of our community.
