(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – This summer, kids will be going on an important quest — into the world of
wellness.

Columbus Community Hospital is hosting its annual Kids Academy summer camp, a two-day program
that will inspire and educate children about the importance of making healthy choices. Designed
specifically for young adventurers entering fourth, fifth or sixth grades in the upcoming fall academic
year, this unique camp promises an unforgettable experience filled with learning and fun — all centered
around a pirate adventure theme.

Participants will embark on a “pirate quest” that integrates essential lessons on physical activity,
balanced nutrition and crucial safety practices into exciting, interactive challenges. The curriculum is
thoughtfully designed to be hands-on and experiential, ensuring that children not only absorb vital
information, but also develop a genuine enthusiasm for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

This voyage into health will set sail July 23-24, with daily sessions running from 8 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the
Columbus Fieldhouse.

The camp costs just $25 per child. We highly encourage parents and guardians to secure their child's
