Columbus Community Hospital celebrates National Hospital Week

(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – Columbus Community Hospital will celebrate National Hospital Week from May
11-17 with a series of events aimed at recognizing and appreciating its dedicated staff. The week's
activities, organized by the CCH events team, focus on the themes of recharging, refreshing, reassuring,
relaxing and renewing.
The celebrations kick off on May 12 with a special gift bag for every staff member, provided by
department directors. Throughout the week, employees can enjoy a variety of treats and activities,
including a fruit and yogurt bar on May 13, a “You are spud-tacular!” potato bar on May 14 (with special
hours for both day and night shift employees), a relaxing spa atmosphere with massage chairs on May
15, and a build-your-own trail mix and water bar on May 16.
“Our staff is the heart and soul of Columbus Community Hospital,” said Michael T. Hansen, the hospital’s
president and CEO. “Their unwavering commitment to providing compassionate care, especially in
challenging times, is truly inspiring. This week is about expressing our sincere gratitude for their
extraordinary efforts and dedication to our patients and our community. We are deeply thankful for
every one of them.”
The CCH senior leadership team will also be participating in the week’s events by serving at the potato
bar, where they will personally thank staff members for their hard work and dedication. Additionally,
staff will have the opportunity to sign up for door prizes during the “relax” event.
National Hospital Week serves as a reminder for Columbus Community Hospital to consistently express
its appreciation for employees through meaningful recognition, comprehensive support systems and the
cultivation of a positive and nurturing work environment.
