The staff members in Columbus Community Hospital’s same day services (SDS) department prepare you for outpatient surgery and care for you after your operation is complete.

Our services

When you are in the hospital for an outpatient surgery, we strive to make you as comfortable as possible. Our nurses and doctors provide a variety of services, including:

• Care to patients receiving transfusions, infusions and chemotherapy.
• Treatment for chronic pain.
• Endoscopy procedures.
• Colonoscopies, esophagoscopies and gastroscopies, which are performed under intravenous moderate sedation.
• pH manometry, which helps doctors diagnose gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
