Columbus Community Hospital

Vision therapy

Columbus Community Hospital’s Rehab Services at the Columbus Wellness Center offers on-site visual therapy that uses the latest technology to provide exemplary care to local patients. Occupational therapists (OTs) offer specialized therapy for vision challenges caused by a neurological event or low vision, including difficulties with:

  • Reading.
  • Seeing objects that are close.
  • Locating items in the periphery.
  • Interacting in a busy environment.
  • Other vision challenges.

Occupational therapists will meet with you to conduct a comprehensive evaluation and provide tools and techniques that can help improve your visual performance with daily activities.

Our services

CCH's OTs use state-of-the-art technology, including the Senaptec Sensory Station, which can assess 10 sensory parameters and provide training on all these skills. The system helps CCH's OTs determine your strengths and opportunities to improve sensory performance. Then, the therapists create a custom training plan for the areas that need improvement. The technology uses activities that are designed to help you improve hand-eye coordination, perception, near-far quickness, depth perception and more.

CCH also offers visual rehabilitation through targeted visual activities to address specific goals such as:

  • Driving.
  • Returning to work.
  • Returning to sport.
  • Using the computer or phone.
  • Improving school performance.
