Fried Chickpeas

Chickpeas, also known as garbanzo beans, are a good source of fiber, vitamins and minerals. They also offer a wide variety of health benefits, including improved digestion. This simple recipe for fried chickpeas is a tasty way to add more fiber and flavor to your diet! 

Makes 4 (1 ½ cup servings)

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10-12 minutes
Total Time: 15-17 minutes 
Fried Chickpeas
Ingredients:
2 cans chickpeas
2 T. coconut oil
2 tsp. cumin
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. garlic
2 tsp. smoked paprika
2 tsp. sea salt
2 tsp. pepper

Directions:
  1. Dry chickpeas, removing all excess moisture.
  2. In a frying pan over medium heat, melt oil.
  3. Add the chickpeas and spices to the pan and turn the heat to medium.
  4. Fry 10 to 12 minutes or until desired crispiness.
  5. Serve, and then store leftovers in an air tight container.
