Creamy Avocado Smoothie

Smoothies are a great grab-and-go breakfast option. This recipes combines the healthy fat from avocadoes with the vitamins and nutrients in spinach and banana to offer a healthy and refreshing treat!

Creamy Avocado Smoothie
INGREDIENTS
½ c. cubed frozen pineapple
2 c. packed fresh spinach
1 ripe avocado
1 frozen banana
¾ c. almond milk
3 T. fresh lime juice, plus ½ tsp zest
1 tsp. maple syrup
8 ice cubes

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender.
  2. Taste and adjust sweetness to your liking. If you prefer sweeter smoothies, add more maple syrup. If the consistency is too thick, add more coconut milk and blend again.
  3. If desired, add two scoops of vanilla protein powder.
Each smoothie = 482 calories, 23 g fat, 3 g saturated fat, 57 g carb, 7 g protein, 171 mg sodium, 16 g fiber.
