Price estimator

The information provided on this website is a good faith estimate at the time of your request and is not a guarantee of what you will be charged. Based on your personal medical condition, unknown circumstances or complications, final diagnosis, recommended treatments and your medical needs as determined by your physician, your actual charges may vary from this estimate. Your actual charges will depend upon a variety of factors as listed below, but they are not limited to the factors in this list. Actual charges can, and will, vary from patient to patient depending upon their individual health care needs and their physician’s treatment.

Variables that may lead to differences between your estimated price and your actual price include:

  • The length of time spent in surgery or recovery.
  • The number of days spent in the hospital.
  • Specific equipment used.
  • Supplies and medications required.
  • Additional tests required by your physician.
  • Specific surgery with CPT codes (many variables).
  • Any unusual special care, unexpected conditions or complications.

These estimates do not include any physician charges (e.g. office visit, surgeon, emergency room physician, radiologist, pathologist, consulting physicians, etc.). Tissue examined by an outside lab is billed separately. If you have insurance, your benefits will ultimately determine the amount you owe (including deductibles, co-pay, co-insurance and out-of-pocket maximums).

** These tests require contrast and the contrast charge is in addition to the exam. The amount of contrast needed varies by patient age and size.

Surgeries & procedures: These quotes only reflect the hospital's charges. The physician's charge is NOT included. The quotes for procedures performed in the operating room include the professional charge for the administration of anesthesia.

Charge Description Master (CDM)

The CDM spreadsheet contains the list of Columbus Community Hospital’s standard charges for items and services provided by the hospital. This document is commonly referred to as the Charge Description Master (CDM). Columbus Community Hospital’s standard charges are separate and distinct from physicians’ charges. Physicians and pathologists who furnish services to patients during their admission are billed independently for their services.

The CDM spreadsheet is updated at least annually and represents pricing effective as of that date. If the service you are looking for is not listed, or if you want a more individualized estimate or additional pricing information, please contact our patient accounts department at 402-562-3159 to request a price estimate.
