Wide Bore MRI
What is a Wide Bore MRI?
Columbus Community Hospital’s new Wide Bore MRI system is an example of the hospital’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art equipment and the highest quality patient care.
With a larger opening than a typical MRI machine, the wide bore system gives patients a more comfortable space during their MRI scans. This is particularly helpful for patients who have claustrophobia, pain, body size or other issues that can make traditional MRI scans difficult and unpleasant.
The Wide Bore MRI system offers patients the comfort of an open bore MRI system, as well as the high-quality imaging of a closed bore MRI system. This new technology will provide a better patient experience, premium image quality and reduced exam times.
