Melissa Ramaekers wins Sheaf of Wheat Award

Columbus Community Hospital recently honored Melissa Ramaekers, a registered respiratory therapist, with the prestigious Sheaf of Wheat Award. Nominated by the parent of a young patient, Ramaekers was recognized for her exceptional care and compassion. The parent highlighted how Ramaekers not only comforted her child during a nebulizer treatment but also supported her by offering to stay with the child while she attended to other needs. The hospital presented Ramaekers with a certificate and a Sheaf of Wheat plaque on Nov. 29 in recognition of her outstanding service.

To nominate a hospital employee for the Sheaf of Wheat Award, community members can submit a nomination through forms available at the hospital or via the hospital’s website.
