Kayla Gehring named VP of the Nebraska Association of Perianesthesia Nurses

Kayla Gehring, manager of perianesthesia services at Columbus Community Hospital, has been named vice president of the Nebraska Association of Perianesthesia Nurses (NAPAN). In this role, she will represent Nebraska at both state and national levels through the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (ASPAN), which advocates for the interests of 60,000 nurses in pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia care, ambulatory surgery, and pain management. Gehring's new position underscores her commitment to advancing education, clinical expertise, and high standards of care within the perianesthesia nursing field. She has been with Columbus Community Hospital since 2012 and recently took on the role of perianesthesia manager, overseeing various surgical services and promoting a patient- and family-centered care environment.
