Columbus Community Hospital’s Occupational Health Services department is hosting a free Lunch & Learn on Tuesday, April 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., focusing on recognizing drug impairment in the workplace. The event will feature Ric Voelker, a senior trainer and industrial hygiene specialist from the Nebraska Safety Council, who will provide information on workplace policies, procedures, and regulations related to drug impairment, including those from OSHA and the Department of Transportation. Substance abuse significantly impacts workplace safety, and this event aims to equip employers with tools to recognize and address it. Registration is required by April 26.
