Hospital receives Governor's Wellness Award

Columbus Community Hospital has been honored with the 2023 Governor’s Wellness Award, recognizing its commitment to building a healthier community through evidence-based wellness programs. Awarded by Governor Jim Pillen and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, this accolade highlights the hospital’s successful initiatives, which include wellness challenges, measurable goals, and reward incentives. The hospital was one of six recipients of the prestigious Harvester Award, the highest category of recognition.

The award acknowledges years of collaborative efforts to develop robust health and wellness programs that impact both hospital employees and the wider community. Initiatives like the Columbus Wellness Center, opened in 2015, and the upcoming Columbus Fieldhouse, set to open in early 2024, are part of the hospital’s ongoing commitment to promoting wellness.
