Columbus Community Hospital’s Occupational Health Services department is hosting a free Lunch & Learn event on Tuesday, April 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., focusing on recognizing drug impairment in the workplace. Ric Voelker, an industrial hygiene specialist from the Nebraska Safety Council, will provide insights on workplace drug policies, procedures, and regulations under OSHA and the Department of Transportation. The session aims to help employers understand the risks of substance abuse in the workplace, including increased absenteeism, decreased productivity, and heightened injury risk. Attendees must register by April 26.
