Columbus Community Hospital receives Parkinson's grant

Columbus Community Hospital has been selected as a 2024 SPEAK OUT! Grant recipient by the Parkinson Voice Project. This grant will equip the hospital's speech-language pathologists with training, resources, and materials for the SPEAK OUT! Therapy Program, which helps individuals with Parkinson’s improve their speech and swallowing through intentional communication techniques.

This program aims to address the high risk of speech loss and swallowing issues in Parkinson’s patients, enhancing their quality of life and communication abilities.
