Columbus Community Hospital receives LEARN Breastfeeding Hospital Champion designation

Columbus Community Hospital’s maternal child health department was honored with the LEARN Breastfeeding Hospital Champion designation by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services on Jan. 23, 2024. This designation recognizes the hospital's commitment to improving breastfeeding outcomes through education and support for new mothers, which begins in childbirth classes and continues after discharge. The hospital's team includes board-certified lactation counselors, offering personalized guidance on breastfeeding, from latching techniques to postnatal care. CCH is one of 19 hospitals in Nebraska to receive this designation.
