Columbus Community Hospital is offering a free educational series called Food Thoughts, designed to help participants live healthier lives through expert advice from dietitians. The classes take place every Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Columbus Wellness Center, covering a variety of nutrition and health topics.
From October through December, topics will include choosing fall produce, understanding B Vitamins, hybrid fruits and tips for feeding a family on a budget. Some sessions will feature cooking demonstrations, such as preparing cranberry almond breakfast cereal and chocolate chip pumpkin bars. Each class will conclude with a Q&A session with the dietitians.
