Agriculture workers invited to agriculture safety event in Columbus

Columbus Community Hospital’s Occupational Health Services is hosting an Agriculture Safety event on Feb. 6, 2024, at Ag Park in Columbus. The free event is open to local agriculture workers and will feature expert speakers, including Rick Lemp on injury recovery in the ag industry, Nathan Kaufman on ag-related interest rates, and a panel on farm succession planning. Additional activities include grain bin safety demonstrations, pesticide and beef quality certifications, health screenings, and discounted vaccinations. The event aims to promote safety and health awareness in one of the most hazardous industries.
