About us
Located in the heart of Nebraska, Columbus Community Hospital (CCH) is a community-owned, not-for-profit hospital in Columbus, NE, that brings top-level health care close to home. The people of Platte County and the surrounding counties appreciate the opportunity to see both primary care providers and specialists without needing to travel to a larger city.
CCH is led by a local board of directors and the hospital has a staff that includes a president/CEO, five vice presidents, a medical staff of more than 50 active members and more than 900 employees. The hospital is also supported by more than 230 volunteers.
CCH is a 50-bed acute care facility that is certified for swing beds, with four skilled nursing beds and 14 ambulatory outpatient beds. CCH’s Healthpark Medical Office Building currently houses a visiting physicians’ clinic and the CCH laboratory, along with Columbus Otolaryngology Clinic, Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic and Columbus General Surgery.
CCH’s organization also includes a second campus, located south of Highway 30. South Campus includes medical outreach services such as Home Health and hospice, Healthy Families and Occupational Health Services.

CCH was established in 1972 by the merger of St. Mary’s Hospital and Behlen Memorial Hospital, but its history dates back more than 150 years. Learn more by reading:
