Columbus Community Hospital is proud to host the Harvest for Health community event on Thursday, Sept. 4 from 7 a.m.–noon in the gymnasium at the Columbus Fieldhouse in Columbus, NE. This event provides community members an opportunity to learn more about health care products, services and new offerings in the community from more than 40 area businesses. It is free and open to the public!

Featured Speakers:

  • 9 a.m. – “Importance of bone health and osteoporosis prevention” - Dr. Anthony White, orthopedic surgeon, Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic
  • 10 a.m. – "Is it stroke? Why acting F.A.S.T. can make a difference" - Dr. Mark Howerter, chief medical officer and former ED physician director, Columbus Community Hospital
  • 11 a.m. - "Understanding radiation oncology" - Dr. Christopher Veale, Columbus Cancer Care

Columbus Community Hospital will offer:

  • FREE blood pressure screenings. 
  • FREE paraffin wax hand dips.
  • FREE vision screening.
  • FREE hearing screening.
  • FREE atrial fibrillation (heart) screening.
  • FREE peripheral artery disease screening.

Vaccinations and lab screenings:

  • Flu shots - $30.
  • Prevnar 20 vaccinations - $250.
  • Fasting wellness profile (CBC, CMP, lipid panel and TSH) - $61.
  • Prostate-specific antigen - $48.
