Columbus Community Hospital opens brand new fieldhouse

Columbus Community Hospital has opened a new 101,500-square-foot fieldhouse as part of its Wellness Center in Columbus, Nebraska. The facility, which features a turf field, batting cages, a golf simulator, and more, aims to serve people of all ages and athletic abilities. Funded by the hospital and state contributions, the $27.6 million project was built to enhance community health and wellness. Hospital CEO Michael Hansen emphasized that the fieldhouse will provide year-round opportunities for physical activity, especially during Nebraska’s harsh winters, and contribute to making Columbus a more appealing place to live.
