Columbus Community Hospital

Registered Nurse Apprenticeship Program

RN Apprenticeship flyerColumbus Community Hospital is committed to sharing the positive aspects of nursing and supporting those who are passionate about health care. With that end in mind, we are offering the Registered Nurse Apprenticeship Program.

Because of the estimated nursing shortage, Columbus Community Hospital wants to make sure we have enough nursing staff for our patients. We encourage individuals choosing a career in nursing to apply for the Nurse Apprenticeship Program.

During the program, the nurse apprentice will receive a coach, who will mentor them through their journey of becoming a nurse. Apprentices are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per month while in the program.

Apprentices will receive work experience and scholarship assistance from the hospital that covers up to 75% of school tuition, books, and fees (up to hospital policy). Program apprentices can qualify for loan forgiveness after graduating and successfully passing board exams. The employment commitment to Columbus Community Hospital will directly correlate to the amount of financial support the apprentice receives.

Applicants must submit the RN Apprenticeship Program application, as well as their resume, transcript, a brief essay regarding the desire to become a registered nurse and two letters of reference.
