Volunteer & Guest Services

Columbus Community Hospital has more than 250 volunteers. Combined, they have given more 20,000 hours of their time to CCH in the past year alone.

CCH volunteers provide high-quality volunteer service to the patients, families, visitors and medical staff of CCH. They also provide hands-on service as an extension of the health care team, and develop fundraising strategies which support medical equipment purchases and program advancements for the hospital.

In short, they’re an invaluable part of our team.

What CCH Volunteers Do:
CCH volunteers give of their time, knowledge and skills in hospital departments like the Child Care Center and Rehabilitative Services, among many others.

They also assist patients in the Gift Shop and at the information desks of the Hospital and the Healthpark Medical Office Building.

Volunteers act as guides; visit patients; provide clerical support; assist with supplies, purchasing and distribution; run the beverage cart and help with special events like blood drives or fundraisers. These are just a few of the ways volunteers support CCH and there are many others.

When people volunteer at CCH, they are given a volunteer assignment that is tailored to their special talents, interests and needs. They are also given orientation and training before starting their work as a volunteer.
