National Athletic Training Month 2020
Columbus Community Hospital is proud to support National Athletic Training Month in March.
Several activities are taking place nationally to increase the awareness of the athletic training health care profession during National Athletic Training Month.
This year’s slogan is “ATs Impact Health Care through Action."
The recognition honors athletic trainers (ATs) for their commitment to helping people prevent injuries and keeping people healthy and active. ATs also specialize in recognition, management, and rehabilitation of injuries that result from physical activity.
Columbus Community Hospital provides funding for area schools to have access to athletic training medical coverage at practices and competitive events. This includes the three Columbus high schools, as well as outreach services for athletic departments at Central Community College and several high schools in the surrounding area. CCH is extremely proud of each one of its athletic trainers and recognizes the important role they play in our community.
The hospital will further support National Athletic Training Month by participating in a social media campaign in March, which is provided by the Nebraska State Athletic Trainers’ Association (NSATA).
During the campaign, the hospital will encourage members of the community to use #NSATAlovesNATM2020 on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to show support and appreciation for the services provided by local athletic trainers.
