Local Pediatrician Receives Certification
(COLUMBUS, Neb.) – Dr. Pramod Shrestha recently received his certification from the American Board of Pediatrics. To become certified, applicants must graduate from an accredited medical school, complete three years of training in pediatrics in an accredited residency program, verify completion of residency training and as a practitioner of pediatrics, possess a valid state license to practice medicine and successfully complete a comprehensive one-day exam covering all aspects of health care for infants, children and adolescents.
Dr. Shrestha joined the medical staff at East Central District Health Department / Good Neighbor Community Health Center in July 2016. He was born in Nepal and completed medical school at Gajra Raja Medical College in Gwalior, India, and his Pediatric Residency at Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India. Dr. Shrestha completed the Pediatric Residency Program at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., earlier this year.
