Hospital Foundation Golf Outing raised funds for Wide Bore MRI system

The 14th annual Columbus Community Hospital Foundation Golf Outing was held on Friday, June 3rd at the Elks Country Club in Columbus. This two-person scramble included 140 players who golfed to raise funds for the Hospital. Proceeds from this year’s event will be used to help purchase a wide bore MRI system which will provide a better patient experience, premium image quality and reduced exam times.
Shane Fleming and Chad Gonka both of Columbus, with a score of 69 were the overall winners for the day.
Businesses supporting this effort include Title Sponsor TSP – Architecture, Engineering and Planning, and Executive Sponsors – Heartland Builders Company and Pinnacle Bank and Trust.
Event sponsors included ARL Credit Services, BD Medical Systems, Brookestone Acres, Eakes Office Solutions, First National Bank, Midwest Medical Transport Company, Pillen Family Farms, Shelby Lumber Company and Tasty Toppings- Dorothy Lynch.
Dinner Sponsors were Behlen Manufacturing, Control Management Inc., Inpatient Physician Associates- Columbus, Golden Living, Obrist & Company Plumbing and Union Bank and Trust.
Dr. Ron Ernst, Marilyn Murray, Marty Nore, and Whitey Walgren were the chair people of the golf outing. Foundation Executive Director, Carol Keller and Foundation Development Assistant, Rita Samuelson also served on the Golf Outing Committee.
