CCH Named Training Center for ACLS and PALS
Columbus, NE (December, 2010) – The American Heart Association has renewed Columbus Community Hospital’s agreement as a Training Center for Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, as part of the Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Training Network. The CCH Training Center provides advanced hands on training and wide ranging medical knowledge to over 500 healthcare professionals in our town and surrounding community. The interventions taught to Physicians, Registered Nurses, Paramedics, and Respiratory Therapists are used for the treatment of a number of critical medical emergencies, mainly that of cardiac arrest.
Columbus Community Hospital is committed to providing specialized training in advanced skills and knowledge backed by evidence based science and research. Kim Brandenburg a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department serves as CCH’s Training Center Coordinator and is member of the ECC Central Taskforce
In November Brandenburg attended the 2010 International Scientific Sessions in Chicago, assuring CCH’s quality and commitment to their program. As this year marks the 50th anniversary of CPR, CCH strives to continue success by teaching lifesaving CPR and ECC courses.
