Joint Effort Program

Joint Effort is a program dedicated to care and treatment of total knee and hip replacement patients. Patients receive care in an environment that focuses on wellness and their individual needs as a healthy patient.

Our goal is to get patients back to their daily routine as efficiently as possible while maximizing their recovery.

Patients receive extensive education prior to surgery including attending an Orthopedic Care Class offered weekly where they may join others anticipating joint replacement. Patients also participate in group therapy sessions with the opportunity to work alongside other patient’s that have undergone the same surgery.

The Joint Effort Team consists of:

  • A coordinator who oversees the process and guides patient’s to a successful recovery.
  • Specially selected nurses is the OR who are proficient in assisting with total joint replacement surgery.
  • Nurses on Acute Care who have specific education in the care of total joint replacement patients.
  • Rehabilitative services staff (physical and occupational therapy) educated on the latest treatment and rehab techniques.
  • Surgeon’s and Physician's Assistants who share the vision of quality and excellence in patient care with the hospital staff.
