Workers’ Comp Topic of Seminar Occupational Health Services of Columbus Community Hospital will be hosting a seminar for employers entitled “Work Comp for the Employer: Eliminate the Confusion”. The seminar will help give employers a better understanding of workers’ compensation from the insurance, legal and medical side.
The event is scheduled for May 8 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Third Floor Conference Center of the Hospital. A complimentary breakfast buffet will be served from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Speaker presentations will begin at 7:30 a.m.
The seminar is geared toward CEO’s, CFO’s, HR Managers, Business Owners and Work Comp Administrators. Guest speakers for the event include Tom Champoux, CWCA, Unico Group; Carl Zeutzius, CWCA, Unico Group; Dallas Jones, Bayloer Evnen Law Firm; and Amy Blaser, CHSP, CHCM, Occupational Health Services.
The presenters will cover a wide range of workers’ comp issues including: • Proven strategies for reducing workers’ compensation costs • What happens to your workers’ compensation insurance if you have a claim • Reducing medical costs by pro-active claims management and alliances with proper medical providers • The five most costly workers’ comp mistakes that could be costing you money • Your role in the workers’ compensation system
