Tomek Appointed Director of Diagnostic Radiology Denise Tomek has been appointed Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Department at Columbus Community Hospital. Tomek has been an employee of the hospital since 1989 and previously held the department title of Assistant Director.
As Director, Tomek will oversee staff that performs radiographic, C.T. and Nuclear Medicine procedures and coordinate projects with medical staff, the board of directors and personnel from other facilities. Tomek will also be responsible for researching successful programs and opportunities that will continually improve services to meet patient needs.
As head of the department, Tomek will help technicians meet their professional goals through continuing education and skills development.
Tomek received her Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Radiologic Technology from Southeast Community College in Lincoln and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences thru Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences.
Tomek, originally from the Schuyler area, resides in Columbus and is the parent of a son, Mitchell.
