| It's a Matter of the Heart: Atrial Fibrillation | 7:00 p.m. | | Location: Third Floor Conference Center | About 2.2 million Americans have atrial fibrillation, putting them at risk of blood clots. The disorder commonly causes poor blood flow to the body and symptoms of heart palpitations, shortness of breath, fatigue and stroke.
The likelihood of developing atrial fibrillation increases with age and three to five percent of people over the age of 65 will have the disorder.
